Mattock School of Music

I believe anyone can learn music, but students need guidance in key areas. Loving music doesn’t automatically lead to understanding it.  True growth requires discipline through listening, playing, studying, and practicing. Students must also learn how to learn: how to ask questions, evaluate knowledge, and find answers on their own. A well-rounded musician also studies other disciplines, as music reflects and interacts with the wider world. My own journey in learning and performing gives me a clear memory of the challenges students face and allows me to offer relatable, practical support rooted in both personal experience and years of teaching.
